We’re developing a short film through improvisation and real encounters in Los Angeles. The story grows out of the invented characters’ lives and the spaces we inhabit together.

Director’s Note:

This project has grown out of a long interest in people, and a wish to preserve the sense of authenticity that we observe in daily life.

Taking inspiration from Mike Leigh’s rehearsal methods, the goal is to work from a starting point that is based in reality — to reach characters and situations that feel lived, not performed.
